About Us

The International Journal of Islam is a journal that is published quarterly. The journal’s scope focuses on a wide range of topics, from classical topics to contemporary matters. The aim of the journal is to publish scholarly works in the field of Islamic Studies that tackle the classical and contemporary topics in a critical, objective and informative manner. Furthermore, IJI focuses on comprehensive analysis of a variety of articles, reviews, book reviews on specific topics and presents to its readers high quality academic works. The journal’s editorial board consists of major scholars from all over the world who are experts in their respective fields. Nonetheless, the journal is peer-reviewed and is open access, therefore, subscription is not necessary. IJI is a publication of The Lighthouse Schools: www.tlhschools.org

Editorial Board

Dr. Ali Yurtsever is an accomplished academic leader with a diverse background. He holds degrees in Physics Education, Mathematics (MS and PhD), and Management. Throughout his career, he has held prominent roles in institutions like Georgetown University and Catholic University of America. He revitalized American Islamic College in 2010, establishing programs and securing authorities for operation and degrees. Currently the Dean at Northwest Suburban College, he continues to excel in education. Dr. Yurtsever is a devoted husband and father of four.
